Request for Community Support
The Hispanic Association of Women, Inc., HAW, receives numerous requests for donations and sponsorships. HAW must give careful consideration to whether and to what extent these requests support our mission. HAW will be accepting submissions from August 1 - August 31 and January 1 - January 31st with decision to be made within 4 weeks of submission.
HAW awards community requests that align with HAW’s mission to empower, educate, or advance women and/or youth. Monies awarded shall be determined by the HAW Community Request Committee and the Board of Directors.
Eligibility Requirements
✅ The request demonstrates a measurable impact/ benefit on the Lubbock community or communities within a 60 mile radius of Lubbock.
✅ The requesting entity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, school, or community group.
✅ The project promotes community need.
Request Categories (must meet one or more)
✅ Scholarship & Educational Support (e.g., student funding, mentorship, academic initiatives, can not include Galas)
✅ Community Development & Outreach (e.g., local events, family support programs)
✅ Health & Wellness (e.g., mental health, financial literacy, physical well-being)
✅ Cultural Awareness & Advocacy (e.g., Hispanic heritage celebrations, policy initiatives)
